Goethe-Institut - Greek Residency
The Greek team RODA in Karditsa have asked if we know an artist for a residency program who is willing to stay in Karditsa for a month and work with them on a project funded by the Goethe-Institut.
"The residency project "ΕγκατάΣΤΑΣΗ" (a play on the Greek words for 'Installation' and 'Settlement') is a multidisciplinary initiative hosted by RODA Cultural Lab in the city of Karditsa, Greece. The project explores the recent phenomenon of urban-to-rural migration following consecutive socio-economic crises. We will host 5 international artists (visual artists and performers) to collaborate with us in transforming 15 oral testimonies of "returnees" into a site-specific, interactive art installation and a documentary theatre performance. If your application is successful, and you consent to the data being shared, the project title and summary given above may be published on European Commission, Culture Moves Europe, and partner websites and social media channels"
